Fox Glacier is a tiny town on the West Coast of the South Island, named for the nearby Fox Glacier, one of the world’s most accessible glaciers. The town is located within the Westland Tai Poutini National Park, surrounded by native rainforest.

Fox Glacier is located about 6 kilometres from the town and is easily accessible on a guided ice walk or heli-hike.
