Starting in Nelson, a city known for its artisanal food and drink scene and beautiful beaches, your journey to Queenstown will take you through some of the most scenic regions of the South Island. See the port town of Picton and go whale watching in Kaikoura. Christchurch, the largest city on the South Island, is home to beautiful gardens, and the International Antarctic Centre. From Christchurch, continue south to Dunedin, a city known for its Victorian and Edwardian architecture, wildlife experiences, and beautiful beaches. Finally, your journey will take you to Queenstown, a popular adventure sports destination and the gateway to the Southern Alps. Your pass also includes a day trip to Milford Sound, the breathtaking fiord located in the heart of Fiordland National Park.
Your pass is divided into the following 'legs'. You can book travel in either direction (i.e. follow the itinerary from top to bottom or bottom to top). You can also stop as often as you like along the way on each leg (for example, on the Christchurch to Dunedin leg you could book from Christchurch to Timaru, Timaru to Oamaru and Oamaru to Dunedin).
IMPORTANT: When you book tours you need to search for travel to and from the stops shown. Your Milford Sound cruise will be shown under 'extras' on the bus services for these tours. You must select and add the cruise to your cart in order to book it. You can also add other extras to your tours in the same way.
