Bus Christchurch to Queenstown

InterCity® operates buses four days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri and Sun) from Christchurch to Queenstown. From May 2024, this route will be operating daily.

The InterCity bus journey from Christchurch to Queenstown stops along the way at Ashburton, Geraldine, Tekapo, Omarama, Cromwell, and Frankton. 

InterCity buses to Queenstown depart Christchurch from outside the Bus Exchange on Lichfield Street and arrive in Queenstown at Athol Street in the car park.
