About Albany

The Auckland suburb of Albany is located north of the Waitemata Harbour, approximately 15 kilometres northwest of Auckland City.

Albany is a substantial retail and shopping zone within the northwestern Auckland area, although much of the land around Albany is still semi-rural. North Harbour Stadium and Massey University are both situated in Albany.

For aviation enthusiasts, Albany has an aviation museum that commemorates aircraft that flew during World War 2. Lloyd Nolen and a small group of ex-service pilots started collecting aircrafts as a hobby and this quickly evolved into a need to preserve a piece of history.
