Experience two of the Great Barrier Reef’s most iconic island escapes in one seamless adventure with the Two Island Explorer with Snorkel Gear Hire!
Departing at 8.30am, this full-day journey takes guests island-hopping between Fitzroy Island and Green Island, each offering its own unique slice of Tropical North Queensland beauty!
The day begins at Fitzroy Island, where lush rainforest meets fringing reef, giving visitors the freedom to stroll scenic walking tracks, snorkel straight from the shore over colourful coral gardens, or simply unwind on the famous Nudey Beach.
After soaking up Fitzroy’s natural charm, the experience continues with a cruise to Green Island, a picturesque coral cay known for its golden sands, vibrant marine life, and easy beach access.
With more than six hours of combined island time and snorkel gear included at both destinations, guests can explore the reef at their own pace, whether they are confident swimmers or just keen to enjoy the views.
Optional add-ons such as glass bottom boat tours, buffet or boxed lunches, snorkel safaris, and semi-submarine rides allow the day to be tailored to individual interests. Travelling aboard spacious, air-conditioned catamarans ensures comfort throughout, making this the ultimate hassle-free Great Barrier Reef day out for couples, families, and adventure seekers alike!

Thankfully we saved $$ on booking through here as the experience we were given was literally a dump and run. I think a demo of how to snorkel was given on the way, but as we were up the top in howling wind with our eyes closed due to the spray, we didn’t hear or take in what was said. Suggestions would be to wait until onshore, and for those that want extra assistance this should be included. A bare minimum too would be to suggest snorkeling sites - found when we got to green island we snorkeled in the wrong area and a simple announcement would have been appreciated. Lastly the buffet, food given tailored for overseas visitors and my family didn’t enjoy it.
Nothing wrong with the travel to and from the islands but having to lug around your snorkel gear and equipment between the 2 islands was seriously inconvenient - would've been much more ideal to collect at each island. Fitzroy island only opened for drinks at 10am and food was 1130am, which is when we had to return to the boat for Green Island. I am a local and I was embarrassed to have my friends visiting from overseas to experience the poor state of Green Island's facilities, with bird feces permeating the walkways and pool area, the entire area stunk and was rundown, mouldy and poor snorkeling opportunities. The island resort owners and tour operators should be ashamed to call this an amazing Great Barrier Reef experience!

Amazing Island Tour
This was a bucket list tour and it did not disappoint. Fitzroy Island was beautiful, the beaches and water were pristine. Green Island was amazing, we were so excited to snorkel with the sea turtles. The tour operators were friendly and knowledgeable. The snorkeling equipment was very well maintained.
