Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost and westernmost city and one of the worlds southernmost cities. Invercargill lies in the centre of the Southland Plains and is the commercial centre for the Southern Region.
World famous for producing Oysters, the town of Bluff, (located just 30 km's south of Invercargill), celebrates this fame with an annual Oyster and Food Festival. Visitors flock to the region for this exciting winter event with tickets and local accommodation selling out quickly.
Invercargill's main domain, Queen's Park, is a vast sprawling, calming green oasis that spans an impressive 81ha! That means there's plenty of room to spread out and find a quiet space just for yourself.
