Our Scandinavian-inspired cocktail lounge is built from almost 30 tonnes of hand-carved, glass-like ice architecture. We will keep you cosy in our luxe winter coats and quench your thirst with our carefully curated cocktail menu.

Conveniently located next to the iconic Skyline Gondola, our spectacular ice sculptures change every few months thanks to multiple blocks of ice, chainsaws, chisels, and one exceptionally gifted ice carver.

  • Important T&C's

    A valid form of ID is required to enter the venue (Passport, NZ driver's license, Hanz 18+ or Kiwi Access card). Host responsibility applies.

    Minors must be accompanied by their parent or permanent legal guardian.

    For children and minors, cocktails will be replaced with mocktails. Alternatively, Mocktails Entries can be purchased in store for $35 each.

    Good Friday & Easter Sunday - no alcohol to be served, as per NZ liquor laws. Cocktails will be replaced with mocktails only.

    Bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable.

    Please arrive 15min early to allow check-in and maximise your experience.

Went as a family of 4 but asked to share three seats in a table by a rude bartender. We took turns to stand for the hour. Asked for 2 cocktails and two mocktails but after making them she struggled to find which one contained alcohol

Second time to The Ice Bar. Went after the gondola experience and it really topped the day off . So easy to get to .. a short walk from the gondola car park. Getting rugged up in the warm gear is great …and then it’s downstairs to the bar. Fabulous experience, the sculptures are incredible and don’t seem real..ie made of ice. But because of the dry cold , you can touch them and not get your fingers glued on. Drinks are yummy and the staff ..super friendly and keen to take photos. Fabulous and will go again next time in Queenstown. 5 stars out of 5 🤩
