An outdoor adventure where you can get active and immerse yourself in nature!

Departing from Queenstown daily, we'll whisk you away from Queenstown on a 30 minute scenic drive, passing the iconic AJ Hackett bungy bridge and into the wine country of Gibbston Valley.

Our guided canyoning tour through the stunning Gibbston Valley is designed with the beginner adventurer in mind!

No daring jumps, you will enjoy an array of thrilling activities including natural slides, climbing challenges and abseils down beautiful waterfalls.

No experience is required, but you do need a medium level of fitness to participate.

Whether you’re a seasoned thrill-seeker or new to the world of canyoning, this adventure is the perfect introduction to this adrenaline-pumping sport.

  • OUTSIDE The Eichardts Hotel - 2 Marine Parade Queenstown, 9300.
  • Please be on the street ready and waiting for your briefing at least 10 minutes before your departure time.

Restrictions

  • Minimum age: 10

    This activity has suitability requirements and a medium level of fitness is required, participants must be able move, standing, sitting, climbing in a wetsuit for up to 2 hours.Participants must be physically able to complete the activity in the allowed time duration.

    Minimum age is legally set at 10 years old.

    Maximum age is set at 60 years old, with further screening required to confirm full understanding of what the product requires from participants.

    Under 16 years requires a legal guardian/parent to sign risk disclosure form prior to travel or at check in, and under 14 years requires a supervisor aged minimum 16 years old to travel with them.

    Canyoning New Zealand is an adventure activity that is safety audited annually to the highest standards.

    Part of our responsibility is to ensure all participants understand the risks of participating prior to booking their tickets and understand the terms and conditions and suitability requirements.

    This tour is mentally and physically demanding and requires the participants to be English speaking, comfortable and confident with moving over uneven and possibly slippery terrain, being in the water and dealing with heights.

Für Anfänger bestimmt schöne Strecke 6. Gute Ausrüstung 7. Viel klettern und einige Rutschen Negativ: 1. Ein wenig kurz (1-1,5h) 2. Für Fortgeschrittene bzw. Leute mit vorheriger Canyoning-Erfahrung langweilig (kein einziger Sprung, meist nur knie- oder hüfthohes Wasser) 3. Recht teuer (trotz Rabatts), aber das sind alle Canyoning-Anbieter und -Touren

Best family day

Absolutely loved this and was our fave family activity. We went with kids 11 and 10. Stephan's relaxed nurture really helped the kids feel at ease. Loved all the waterfalls and laughs. Basic fitness required but there was nothing too difficult and had a small walk in and out. Thank you for sharing this with us and giving our kids first trial of canyoning. Would absolutely do it again.

Cool for the whole family

The Gibbston Valley half day canyoning tour was great. Everyone in the family both young teens and adults loved this tour and some did reach their limits, cool. The slides and abseiling was funny.

2hr Canyoning expperience

My first time canyoning and I had the best time. Our guide was so supportive, understanding and provided reassurance when required. He was funny and made the experience so much fun. I would love to do a longer canyoning experience :)

Awesome experience

Half day beginners canyoning adventure with Dom was super fun. As he put it “it’s an active adventure” where you have to put in some effort and trust your own capability, but with expert guidance. Dom made us relaxed and had lots of good stories. Was a fantastic experience.
