Learn about the Brewery’s history and get some tips from our expert brewers on our award winning interactive and informative guided tour!
The Speight’s Brewery Tour is a must do for locals and visitors to Dunedin alike!
We are the oldest operational Brewery in New Zealand, and the only site to have an historic Brew Floor and state of the art Brewery housed within the same location. The Speight’s Brewery is the spiritual home of New Zealand’s biggest beer brand, attracting over 20,000 visitors per year to experience the “Pride of the South”; as one if Dunedin’s most popular tourist attractions.
During your tour you will learn about the history of the Brewery, touch, smell and taste their way through our Heritage building before finishing up in the Tasting Room for a Beer Tasting. The Brewery Shop has an extensive collection of Speight’s merchandise and the Cellar Door offers the ability to purchase fresh beer directly from the Brewery - a unique opportunity to take away a flavoursome souvenir.
The Speight's Brewery is a heritage site, please take into consideration that we have 200 stairs included in the tour route. We recommend a moderate level of fitness for this experience.

Very good, would recommend
From the history to the very tasty craftsmanship, I would definitely recommend this tour! My partner and I definitely recommend this tour, it’s a must have experience. We also grabbed a pint each with the garlic loaf from the Speights pub down the road! Don’t miss out!
Incredible experience, we were travelling the South Island for 4 weeks so I booked the tour as a surprise for my husband since Speights Ultra is his blood type. It was so good, even the two kids loved it. The guide was funny and informative, we loved his passion. The tasting experience at the end was epic, I have now even started drinking Speights. Very happy, well worth the money! We tell everyone it is a must do if you’re in Dunedin.
The tour guide was great, we enjoyed learning about the history and trying a few beers at the end

Sehenswert
