You may purchase any sector or transport pass, check seat and fare availablity from any one of InterCity’s 700 agents nationwide, either by calling the InterCity National Contact Centre between 7am and 8pm NZT, or online by using the booking form. Just click on Search Fares to the left or return to the homepage.
Please note that a $3.99 booking fee applies per transaction for all bookings made at www.intercity.co.nz and a booking fee of $4 applies to all transactions made via our contact centre.
For changes or cancellations of bookings click on Changes & Refunds on the above menu, or simply go to Manage My Booking or email email@example.com Bookings may be made through any InterCity Retail Agent however a charge of not less than $3.00 per sector may apply. Fares operate on a two fare booking system: Non Refundable (NR) and Flexible Fares.
Flexible Fares are divided into the following fare types: Adult (AD), Child (CH), Student (ST), Backpackers (BP) and Golden Age (GA).

At least one $1 fare will be available on every InterCity Coachlines operate service. Services operated in other liveries and carrier codes are not applicable. $1 fares are non refundable. Where applicable, “Free Seat” offers will substitute $1 fares.
For online bookings, credit card or internet banking payment is required at the time of booking. (You cannot book online and pay later). Learn more about how to pay online using Internet Banking (POLi).
Alternatively you can book and pay at any of InterCity’s 600 agents nationwide, or through InterCity’s national Contact Centre. The payment deadlines for Contact Centre & Agent bookings are to the right.
Payment required within 24 hours of booking or booking will be auto-cancelled.
If booking within 48 hours, payment is required within 24 hours of the time the booking has been made or the booking will be auto-cancelled.
If booking within 24 hours, payment can be made up until the time of departure.
No correspondence will be entered into with any passenger whose reservations have been auto cancelled because no payment was received.
