Catch a cheap bus from Christchurch to Nelson. The Christchurch to Nelson bus trip is completed in two legs and takes approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes with regular stops along the way. Buses depart Christchurch from the Regional Platform at the Bus Exchange on Lichfield Street, and arrive at the main bus stop in Nelson outside the Travel Centre at 27 Bridge St.
